It's not about the color blue
It's about fair chances for everyone
Blue is the new green. It’s the color of Corporate Social Responsibility. It’s goodness for the environment and people. Think healthy employees. Think fair chances. Blue is in our blood and incorporated in our corporate identity. We gladly contribute to a better world: close to home, at work, but also on the other side of the planet. And we don’t ask anything in return. Imagine what could happen if everyone made a little extra effort! We believe it would benefit us all. That’s why we think in possibilities and work on chances for everyone. Check.
We don’t think of borders as boundaries. We think in terms of possibilities and fair chances. For everyone. Diversity is not an issue; it’s a matter of course. In our Yenlo team, 8 nationalities are represented. Both men and women. Colorful people. We invest in their personal development, health and future. That’s a given. Blue is in our corporate identity, remember? Check.
We believe that everyone has the power to contribute to a better world. We don’t do CSR because we feel like we have to; we do it because we know it’s the only way. We’re a team. An international one. And we’re full of ambition. That’s why we participate in sponsorship activities for Kiva, Alpe d’HuZes and several youth clubs. Not for personal gain, but for the sake of everyone who doesn’t have the means to provide for him or herself. Check.
We’re passionate about sports. That’s why we support several sports teams in our neighborhood. In terms of clothing and equipment. So don’t be surprised when you see a soccer player running around in a shirt with our name on it. Maybe we’ll be there ourselves! We enjoy some real time encouragement every once in a while.
There’re a lot of people out there that live below the poverty line. And that’s not cool. It’s why we support small businesses throughout the world, through the Kiva lending platform. This organization enables individuals and companies to lend money to people all around the world, so they can start up a business of their own. This way, they get to create their own opportunities. Together, we work towards a world where everyone participates.
Our CSR policy will take us to the French Alpes in 2016. We support a local team of cyclists that will climb the Alpe d’Huez. Along with thousands of others, we’ll raise money for research into cancer. A beautiful cause, that is worth working up a sweat for. And the motto of Alpe d’HuZes says it all: giving up is not an option!
