Schiphol-Rijk, 24 March 2017. On Wednesday evening, March 22, Yenlo organized an API event “Create your own API”. For this event Yenlo invited members of the Dutch Java User Group (NLJUG), customers and relations.
The need of APIs
APIs are hot. If you want to anticipate the future of IT, you cannot do without APIs. They are the only way to communicate with customers and they are your only option to offer them tailor-made services in real-time. All major companies like Google, Facebook but also museums (like the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam) are using APIs to communicate. But you also need APIs internally.
At this free training event people were trained on how to create and manage an API with WSO2 API Manager. For a few people it was a first acquaintance with WSO2 or even with API Management.
Dennis Hardjoprajitno, one of the attendees, said: “The first acquaintance with API Management is probably also the best. I have a really good feeling about WSO2 as API Gateway / API Manager.”
Besides a presentation of trainer Rob, people did some real hands-on labs with here and there some assistence of Yenlo Guru’s Daniel, Joris and Domenique. The attendees found the event very interesting and helpful.
