About this workshop:
We have consolidated some of the best practices shared by these successful innovative organizations and offer a full day workshop packed with demo’s and use cases. We know your time is limited therefore the workshop will be split into a morning and afternoon session, where the morning will be predominantly focused on the business side of IT and the afternoon will be about the technical side of the connected business.
After this workshop you will understand this emerging vision of IT, and come away with practical steps to transform your own enterprise into a Connected Business and have the opportunity to discuss your specific IT challenges with the experts.

This workshop will be presented by leading experts who know the products very well and have many years of experience in SOA projects.
As an architect, Senaka focuses on the WSO2 Governance Registry and WSO2 Cloud Services Gateway. He has provided technology consulting on customer engagements, helping to successfully implement governance, enterprise application integration, SAP integration, and on-premise portal solutions. Senaka also founded the WSO2 Web Services Framework/C++.
Paul Fremantle, CTO, co-founded WSO2 in 2005 in order to reinvent the way enterprise middleware is developed, sold, delivered and supported through an open source model. In his current role as CTO, Paul spearheads WSO2′s overall product strategy. Previously, he served as WSO2 vice president of technical sales where he led the development of the groundbreaking WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus. In 2008, Paul was recognized as by InfoWorld as a Top 25 CTO. Prior to WSO2, Paul was a senior technical staff member at IBM for nine years. There, Paul created the Web Services Gateway and led the team that developed and shipped it as part of the WebSphere Application Server. He also was on the team that put the Service Integration Bus technology into WebSphere Application Server 6. Additionally, Paul was the key WebSphere technical sales lead for Europe, working closely with development to manage beta programs, develop training materials, and enable first-of-a-kind J2EE projects.
Isabelle Mauny joined WSO2 as director of product management in 2012. She brings to her role nearly 20 years of technology, consulting and management experience in Java, application development, middleware, and service-oriented architecture (SOA). Isabelle recently managed the API Manager beta program and has been working with customers around the globe adopting this product. In her role, Isabelle works closely with the WSO2 engineering, sales, and marketing teams. She strongly believes that successful product management requires a great understanding of our customers and the problems they hope to resolve, as well as a strong understanding of the products themselves. As such, Isabelle regularly participates in WSO2 QuickStart programs and services engagements.
Daniël Palstra is WSO2 Expert at Yenlo and has a bachelor degree in Information Technology and over 6 years experience working for systems integrators with global exposure. In his current role he has a strong focus on building enterprise integration layers based on WSO2 products. Daniël is a presenter at numerous international workshops.
Thijs Volders is WSO2 Expert at Yenlo. He brings to his role more than 15 years of technology and consulting experience in Java, application development, middleware, and service-oriented architecture (SOA). Thijs has written numerous articles e.g. ‘comparison of build management tools’ and co-written several whitepapers and speaker at conferences. Thijs recently built the ebMS adapter for the WSO2 ESB.
Gábor Nyers [NL, BE]
Gábor Works at SUSE as Technology Sales Specialist. He advises organizations on the usage of SUSE products, mainly SUSE Linux Enterprise Server, SUSE Studio and SUSE Manager. Since 1999 he has been working in data center environments at commercial as well as governmental organizations. He has gathered practical skills in different roles within operations, service delivery and architecture. Gábor is an enthusiastic Linux user and supporter of the open source model.
Julien Niedergang [FR]
Julien works at SUSE as system engineer for more than 8 years. His actual role leads him to deploy infrastructures based on the Cloud Computing model, including the PaaS model (Platform as a Service), implementing SUSE and WSO2 technologies altogether.
Kevin Smith [UK, IE]
Kevin Smith is a Senior Technical Sales Specialist for SUSE and is the SUSE EMEA lead for the Cloud. With Cloud being a major strategic direction for SUSE Kevin utilises his 28 years in the industry to bridge the gap between technology and the business goals and challenges for customers.
Not only being a Cloud evangelist Kevin is also responsible for identifying and matching technology opportunities with the customer’s business issues and objectives. Kevin is also responsible for channel partner training and enablement. Kevin has extensive sales and technical knowledge having worked for SUSE and Novell for over 13 years in different pre and post sales roles both pan-EMEA and globally.
Piotr Szewczuk [PL]
Piotr Szewczuk is a Senior Consultant in SUSE Professional Services Division in Poland. Piotr holds a M. Sc. degree in Warsaw School of Information Technology. Prior to joining SUSE Piotr was the system engineer and managed Solaris, FreeBSD and Linux systems.
Wojciech Mazurek [PL]
Wojciech Mazurek holds the position of SUSE BU General Manager in Poland being responsible for both direct and indirect sales through cooperation with channel partners. Wojciech holds a M. Sc. degree in Cracow University of Economy. Prior to joining SUSE, he worked for local Polish IT companies.
